Inspired by the history and heritage of Whitehaven, Cumbria, our Rum Butter Wax Melts bring together the town’s fascinating rum-trading past with a much-loved Cumbrian Christmas tradition.

Whitehaven was once a thriving Georgian harbour, with merchant ships bringing rum and other goods into the port from across the Atlantic. That history became part of the town’s identity and inspired us to create a fragrance that connects Whitehaven’s rum traders and maritime heritage with the traditional Cumbrian treat of rum butter, made and enjoyed by local families particularly at Christmas.

The fragrance opens with warming spiced rum, followed by the rich sweetness of brown sugar, creamy butter and cinnamon. Notes of apple and maple add a comforting festive warmth, while oak moss gives the fragrance a deeper, earthy finish.

Rich, nostalgic and full of character, Rum Butter evokes a Cumbrian Christmas of generations past, a warm kitchen, rum butter being prepared for the festive table and the historic harbour of Whitehaven just beyond the door.
