L&E Apothecary Candle Co was founded by Louise & Eve, a mother and daughter duo brought together by a shared love of fragrance, storytelling, creativity and the Lake District.

What began as a passion for creating meaningful, beautiful scents has grown into a distinctive heritage fragrance brand with a loyal community across the UK.

We believe home fragrance should feel personal. It should tell a story. It should transport you somewhere, to a windswept coastline, a candlelit inn, an old library, a forest path or a quiet lakeside morning.

That belief sits at the heart of everything we do.

From coastal towns like Whitehaven and Maryport, to ancient castles like Muncaster Castle and Lowther Castle, to wild fell walks throughout the Lake District forests, our scents are designed to feel immersive and evocative, as though you are stepping into a moment in time.

We hand-pour all our products in small batches here in Cumbria, ensuring quality, consistency, and care in every item.

We always use high-quality 100% soy wax in our candles, which is chosen for its clean burn, excellent scent throw, and more eco-conscious credentials compared to paraffin alternatives.
