The fragrance is deep, warming and comforting, capturing the atmosphere of a Georgian home at Christmas, flickering candlelight, dark rum, rich buttery sweetness and the anticipation of festive gatherings.

The story behind the scent takes us back to Whitehaven’s historic harbour, once an important trading port where ships returned carrying rum and other goods from across the world. Rum became woven into local life and, over time, into one of Cumbria’s best-loved Christmas traditions: Rum Butter.

Hand-poured in Cumbria using 100% soy wax, this candle brings together fragrance, local history and the warm nostalgia of a traditional Cumbrian Christmas.

Hand-poured in small batches in the Lake District, our handy 180g candle tin is perfect for enjoying at home, taking away on weekends or giving as a distinctive Cumbrian gift.
