Long Meg’s Curse
Luxury Soy Blend Wax Melts
Lakes & Legends Collection By L&E Apothecary Candle Co
Hand-poured in the Lake District
Dark, atmospheric and steeped in ancient folklore, Long Meg’s Curse draws you into the shadowed mystery of Cumbria’s most legendary stone circle.
This evocative fragrance opens with the comforting warmth of woody amber and incense, immediately setting a mood of quiet ritual and dusk-lit stillness. At its heart, soft precious woods, cedarwood, patchouli and vetivert weave together to create an earthy, grounding richness, while a lingering whisper of crystal amber and aromatic wood smoke hangs in the air like an ancient spell.
The Inspiration
Inspired by Long Meg and Her Daughters, the ancient Neolithic stone circle stands silently near the River Eden.
Legend tells that a witch named Long Meg was turned to stone along with her coven, cursed to stand for eternity. Even now, the stones are said to hold their power, especially at dusk, when the air grows still and the landscape feels charged with something unseen.
Long Meg’s Curse captures that moment: darkening skies, cold stone beneath your hand, woodsmoke drifting on the wind, and the sense that history is watching back.
